2D Class Week 14: 3D Update

This week I focused on updating the 3D models further to match the Tim Burton style.

I used a wrap deformer to adjust the mausoleum to give it a more Burton-like shape.

I also created an urn with a column to lead up to the Lion's mausoleum.

2D Class Week 13: 3D Model Update

This week I focused on fixing my 3D models for the Lion's environment. Our team also decided on adding more assets to the graveyeard as a place to introduce the Lion to the player.

I updated the fence so it would be thicker, and made another one that was broken.

I fixed the graves to have a more Burton-y shape, thickened the lamp post, and created
columns for the entrance to the graveyard and to add to the fence.

I also created a mausoleum for the Lion's parents. This is where the player will meet the lion.

3D Class Week 10: Concept Discovery With 3D

This week we were tasked to use Maya as a concepting tool. Using toon shaders, we showed our pieces in an illustrative look.

Gravestone research.

Gravestones for the ending area of our forest.

Mushroom research. I looked at the shaggy mane mushroom for its color and textures.

Mushrooms that would appear in our area of the forest.

For the fence, I wanted to link the gnarled look of the trees with the fence.
As the player goes further through the forest, the fence gets less and less composed.

2D Class Week 08: Artist Discovery

This week we looked at The Wizard of Oz as if Tim Burton were the director. I was a part of the lion team, and our job was to research Tim Burton's style and imagine what the Lion from Wizard of Oz and his environment would look.
